Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy

Policy Overview

This policy applies to all purchases and services from Marksman, including the pro shop, NFA items, range fees, memberships, rentals, and classes.
We may require proof of purchase for any return, refund, or credit.


Pro Shop Returns & Exchanges

Standard Merchandise / Non-Firearm Items

  • You may return most new, unused merchandise within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange.
  • You must return items unused, in like-new condition, and with the original packaging, manuals, parts, and accessories.

Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and you cannot return or exchange them:

  • Ammunition
  • Gift cards
  • Firearms (new, used, and consignment)
  • NFA Items
  • Special orders
  • Opened consumables (targets, chemicals/cleaners, batteries, etc.)
  • Electronics/optics that have been opened/installed/registered (when applicable)

Defective Items

If an item is defective, then we’ll help you follow the manufacturer warranty process when applicable. If Marksman approves a return due to a verified defect, then the item must include all original parts and packaging.


Firearms, NFA Items & Transfers

Firearm Sales

  • Once we complete the transfer, all firearm sales are final.
  • We do not accept firearm returns for buyer’s remorse, fit and finish preferences, or compatibility issues.

Background Check Outcomes

If a denied background check or other legal restriction prevents us from completing the sale, we may issue a refund only if the law allows it.

NFA Items (Suppressors, SBR/SBS, etc.)

  • All NFA item sales are final.
  • Once we start the paperwork or assign or serialize the item to the buyer, we do not offer refunds or cancellations.
  • Any NFA-related fees (fingerprints, photos, paperwork/admin fees, transfer fees, deposits) are non-refundable.

FFL / NFA Transfers

  • Transfer fees are non-refundable once the transfer process has started.

Range Fees, Rentals & Memberships

Range Fees (Bay Rental)

  • Range fees are non-refundable once shooting has begun.
  • If a bay becomes unavailable due to an operational issue, Marksman may provide a rain check or credit at our discretion.
  • We strictly enforce the Range Rules. If you ignore them, whether intentionally or unintentionally, we will remove you from the range without a refund.

Rentals (Firearms, Ears/Eyes, Equipment)

  • Once we issue the rental, rental fees are non-refundable.
  • You are responsible for loss or damage beyond normal wear.

Monthly Memberships

  • We bill membership dues monthly, and benefits begin upon activation.
  • You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation stops future billing, and access continues through the end of your current billing period (no prorated refunds for partial months).
  • Sign-Up fees are non-refundable.
  • Membership benefits are non-transferable.

Classes, Permit Courses & Private Lessons

Class Registration

Some classes (including permit classes) require prerequisites and/or minimum equipment. If you do not meet the requirements, we may ask you to reschedule.

  • Booking a class at Marksman is a commitment to train on your given course dates. Class registration reserves your seat.

  • We strictly enforce the Class Rules. If you ignore them, whether intentionally or unintentionally, we will remove you from the class without a refund.

Class Cancellations / Rescheduling

  • 36+ hours notice: Reschedule.
  • Less than 36 hours / no-show: No refund or credit.

Permit class note: If the class includes third-party fees, processing fees, or materials already issued, those portions may be non-refundable.

Private Lessons

  • 24+ hours notice: Refund or reschedule (your choice).
  • Less than 24 hours / no-show: No refund or credit.

Marksman Cancellations (Weather, Safety, Instructor, Operations)

If Marksman cancels a class or closes the range for safety/operational reasons, you may choose:

  • A full refund, or
  • A reschedule/credit for a future date.

Safety & Conduct

Removal for Safety Violations

Safety is non-negotiable.If we remove you from the range or a class for unsafe behavior or for violating posted rules or the Range and Class Rules, we will not issue a refund for range fees, rentals, or class registration.

Please do not send items to the manufacturer unless directed for warranty service.
