Benefits of a carry permit in Tennessee
Although TN is a Constitutional Carry or “permitless” carry state, there are several reasons to get an Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit:
- If you travel across state lines, this permit currently offers reciprocity with 36 other States.
- It allows you to legally carry in State Parks, Greenways, and Waterways.
- Know your rights … if you ever find the need to use your firearm, you can provide documentation of training (your lawyer will thank you!)
* NOTE: Laws and policies can change. Always confirm current rules with the State of Tennessee.

BEFORE THE COURSE, please apply for your Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit with the TN Dept. of Homeland Security HERE. Wewill need the application number provided by the State in order to submit your Written Exam and Live Fire Qualification scores. Please bring your confirmation letter with you.
